Such a challenging act! Saying “no” in such a way that it doesn’t feel like a rejection and more importantly, doesn’t make you come off as mean. While some followers have a hard time getting dances, there are other followers who get too many dances (especially unwanted ones).
What are some reason a follower may not want to dance?
- The leader is a horrible dancer.
- The leader smells bad.
- The leader was a jerk to her or her friend/s.
- The leader intimidates her (maybe a teacher, or even HER teacher).
- She’s trying to catch another leader.
- She’s tired.
- Her feet are hurting.
- She needs to go to the bathroom.
- She’s not in the mood.
For whatever your excuse may be, ladies…let me welcome you to the power of “NO!”
