Perfect Tango Posture

  1. Reach your head into the sky as high as you can. Keep it there no matter what the movement. Most dancers’ heads will hunch down when they walk forward and/or do a pivot.
  2. Hips over the arch of your feet.
  3. Shoulders over your hips, and JUST TO BE SAFE, I recommend slightly in front of your hips.
  4. While reaching your head over the sky, keep your chest over your toes but your hips over the arch of your feet or even over your heels.
  5. Both shoulders and elbows at the same level (as best as you can).
  6. Embrace (hug) your partner with the roundest warmest hug that can, while keep your shoulders spread apart.
