Changing weight can be especially hard for followers, because:
- They’re wearing heels.
- They don’t control the displacement timing.
- They don’t control the weight-change timing.
Basically, they’re wearing uncomfortable wobbly shoes and don’t know how fast you want to move or change weight…and they’re not able to float themselves in the air while you decide.
So here’s what you do…
LIFT UP THE FOLLOWER!
- Any time your weight change takes you from 2-feet to 1-foot position, use your right arm to give her upper torso a slight lift.
- Try lifting her into crosses.
- Try lifting her into embellishment situations.
- Also useful for creating boleo-ish movements with the free leg.
The lift helps relieve weight off her foot so she can float more comfortably or embellish freely. It makes her feel secure.
It feels great and gives followers a ton of play possibilities!
